CBI raids 15 bases of Congress leader DK Shivkumar, more than 50 lakh cash recovered
DK Shivkumar, who was a Congress troubleshooter in Karnataka, has seen increasing difficulties. The CBI has raided 15 of his locations in the disproportionate assets case, where more than 50 lakh cash has been recovered. Along with this, the premises of his brother MP DK Suresh has also been raided.
According to CBI sources, at least 60 central agency officials are conducting raids at 15 places. The first raids began at 6 am on Monday morning at his residence in Doddallahalli village in Kanakapura constituency, which is represented by Shivkumar in the state assembly.
According to the information, the Income Tax Department on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate was investigating a money laundering case based on allegations of tax evasion. During this time, ED had got some important information, which was given to CBI. It is believed that the CBI is conducting this raid in this case.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah termed the action as politics. He tweeted and wrote that BJP has always tried to do politics of revenge and mislead people. The CBI raid at DK Shivakumar’s house is being done to impede our preparations for the by-elections, I strongly condemn this.
